Recording Techniques

'Dazed and confused' was recorded live with R.Abas on drums, R. Russell on bass and M. Carter on guitar.

The drum kit was recorded with 4 microphones:

• Bass drum - ATM 25 Dynamic Hyper Cardoid
• Snare - ATM 35 Clip-on
• Left overhead - ATM 33a Condenser Cardoid
• Right overhead - ATM 33a Condenser Cardoid

The guitar used was a Gibson 'SG' through a Marshall 'JCM 600' amplifier using an ATM 27HE Audio Technica microphone at the front and back of the amplifier.

The vocals were recorded with an ATM 27HE Audio Technica microphone using a pop shield.
